Why does nobody mention the trade-off between looks and power in build guides?
I'm picking parts for a new build and see guides that push for expensive RGB fans and cable combs (which add cost). Some say a pretty PC is worth it for pride, but others argue that cash should go to a better graphics card or processor. For a beginner, which kind of guide leads to a more satisfying build?

Actually, I see it the other way around. For a first build, making it look good can be a big part of the fun. Putting in those extra fans or tidy cables makes it feel like your own creation. Yeah, you might get a slightly better part with that money, but the pride from a clean setup lasts. Beginners often care more about showing off their new PC than hitting top frame rates. What do you value more, the way it runs or the way it looks on your desk?

Ever tried gaming on a slow PC though? All those pretty lights mean nothing if your frames drop in a fight. I get the pride thing, but fun fades fast when you can't play the games you built it for.

My buddy spent extra on fancy RGB fans for his first build instead of a better GPU. He kept saying he wanted it to 'pop' on his desk more than run games at ultra settings. Funny thing is, he shows it off to everyone who comes over, barely talks about performance.
