Mapping my morning run as a doodle kept me going

Turning miles into art makes each step matter.

Turning a run into art is a clever way to avoid admitting you hate exercise. My attempts would probably look like a toddler's drawing after a sugar crash. But hey, whatever keeps you from quitting halfway through.

That "toddler's drawing" thing is SO true. My friend Mark tried to map a run to look like a dinosaur last month. He was so focused on the app screen he tripped over a curb. The final GPS art looked like a lopsided starfish, it was HILARIOUS. He said the distraction totally made the miles fly by though.

Honestly, mixing creativity with a run sounds like a smart way to stick with it. Turning something hard into a game works for a lot of people. Have you ever tried something like that?
