Am I the only one who thinks the lighting in 'Blade Runner 2049' makes diorama replication nearly impossible?
Its shadowy aesthetic ruins the clarity needed for accurate scale model crafting.

For the K's apartment scene, I ended up using three dimmable LEDs at varying heights. It captured the mood without flattening all the textures, which was a lifesaver for my 1:24 scale model.

When I lit my 1:18 bakery scene, varying bulb heights changed how textures absorbed light. Your method probably prevented that flat, overexposed look common with single-source lighting. Mastering shadow play at that scale is half the battle for mood.

Got obsessed with how sunset hits my bookshelf, making the spines look like tiny cityscapes. Now I'm paranoid about lighting every detail in my dioramas.
