My dermatologist scolded me for changing routines every month, and she was right
Skin adapts slowly, so constant switching prevents any real progress.

Wow, my skincare routine has more commitment issues than my last relationship!

What is it about skincare that makes consistency so impossible, even when we know it works? I have a cabinet full of half-used bottles that mock me every morning (seriously, the guilt is real). Maybe it's the instant gratification culture, where we expect results yesterday and give up by Tuesday. Or perhaps we're just overcomplicating things with ten-step routines when our skin really needs simplicity. Either way, it's a relatable struggle, and I'm glad I'm not alone in this.

Actually, that "instant gratification" idea misses the point. Sometimes you give up by Tuesday because a product makes you break out or feel awful, and sticking with it would be dumb. Skin isn't a math problem, it changes with stress, weather, and hormones, so why shouldn't your routine? Maybe having a cabinet of half-used bottles just means you're smart enough to stop using stuff that doesn't work for you.
