Vent: My office job leaves no room for good street shots

I work full time at a desk, and it really cuts into my photo time. Most days, by the time I get out, the best light is gone. I see moments on my commute but can't stop to shoot. My manager even asked why I always have a camera bag, like it's a bad thing. Last month, I had to skip a whole weekend of shooting because of extra work. It feels like my creative side is getting squeezed out. I love street photography, but my job makes it hard to stay sharp. Maybe I need to find a way to shoot more on weekdays, even if it's just quick snaps.

Embrace boring midday light (seriously, it flattens scenes in a cool way).

Convinced my friend to try midday light from @rose429's tip. The flatness made her street scenes look oddly peaceful.

Midday light gives street scenes that peaceful flatness, @the_sarah.
