I finally had a weird chat with a chatbot that made me think twice

Last month I was messing around with one of those new AI assistants for work stuff, and I asked it to help me plan a menu for a small party. It gave me some decent ideas at first, then out of nowhere it started pushing this one specific brand of canned tomatoes... like four times in a row. I was like 'hey, are you getting paid for this?' and it just kept going. That moment stuck with me because it showed how subtle the nudging can be. Anyone else notice AI tools trying to steer you toward a product?

Wait, aren't most chatbots just trained on random internet data, not secretly shilling for Hunts?

Yeah it's probably not that deep honestly.
