TIL my AI voice memo app was transcribing the wrong language for months

Back in February I set up this AI transcription tool to turn my site visit notes into text on the drive home. Last week I noticed it kept writing Spanish words in the middle of my English notes, so I dug into the settings after about 4 months of using it. Turns out the default language was set to 'auto' and it kept picking Spanish because I was shouting over a loud bandsaw in a demo video I recorded once. I had to redo like 60 job notes by hand, which took me a whole Sunday. Has anyone else had an AI tool quietly pick the wrong setting like that?
