Just burned $80 on an AI image generator that claimed to do photorealistic hands
So I saw this ad for a new AI image tool last week that promised it could finally render human hands without looking like alien tentacles. $80 for a yearly subscription, which seemed steep but I figured hey if it actually works that's worth it for my side hustle making weird fantasy art. Signed up, spent three hours crafting the perfect prompt about a person holding a cup of coffee with their fingers clearly visible. What came out looked like someone glued 7 thumbs onto a blob of dough. The fingers were all blurry and randomly placed, some were growing out of the palm, and one image had a hand that just dissolved into the mug like it was melting. I messaged their support and they basically said I need to upgrade to the $200 plan for the "pro hand model." What a joke. Has anyone else gotten scammed by these AI tools that promise way more than they can actually deliver?
