Tried AI image gen for my small biz and it hallucinated a whole fake product

I used a popular AI image tool to make mockups for a new candle line I'm launching next month, but it generated a label with ingredients that don't exist like 'synthetic lavender extract' and a fake safety warning. The image looked so real I almost printed 500 labels before catching it. Anyone else have AI create fictional details that could mess up real work?

Had a buddy who used AI to draft a safety data sheet for his shop. Tool invented a whole new chemical compound that doesn't exist in any known database. Lucky for him, the inspector had a sense of humor about it.

and that is EXACTLY the kind of thing that keeps happening with these AI tools, i swear. i had almost the same thing happen to me last month when i tried using one to write up a basic safety checklist for some equipment we were using. it started throwing out terms like "dihydrogen monoxide exposure limits" like it was a real thing and then it straight up made up a whole section about "vapor pressure threshold for polycyclic aromatic glue." i just sat there staring at the screen wondering what in the world i was reading. the worst part is it sounds totally convincing if you don't know better, like it uses the right buzzwords and everything. i ended up having to scrap the whole thing and just do it myself from scratch because i couldn't trust any of it.
