Had a pilot ask me to "just fix it quick" before his flight last month in Phoenix...

So you were in Phoenix in July, right? Because there's no way that pilot was thinking clearly if they asked you to "fix it quick" in that heat. I'm guessing whatever you were fixing wasn't exactly something you could just slap a bandaid on and call it good. Those quick fixes usually end up taking twice as long anyway, especially when the plane's sitting on the tarmac with the AC barely keeping up. I bet you ended up doing a proper job anyway, because "quick" in aviation maintenance is like "light" at an all-you-can-eat buffet - it never works out like you think.

Did you see that article a few months back about how heat waves mess with decision making? Ngl, Phoenix in July is basically an oven, and pilots are probably just trying to get out of there. Tbh, nobody's best work happens when they're sweating through their uniform and the plane feels like a sauna.
