Mixed up the main and aux lines on an old panel and paid for it

I mean, back when panels had dozens of terminals, it was easy to get confused. I connected a door sensor to the wrong zone and the owner got woken up all night. Do you still run into these kinds of slip-ups with newer gear?

Heard a tech story recently about this exact thing. Even with all the color coding and labels on new panels, people still mix up wires sometimes. The SYSTEM might be smarter, but human error is always a factor. Read that some installers rush and skip double checking connections. So yeah, those slip-ups definitely still happen, just maybe less often.

Yeah saw an article about that. Said even good labeling doesn't stop rushed jobs. Makes you wonder if the checklists are just for show lol.
