Actually people have been talking about anime endings the SAME way for YEARS now. That thread last month didn't change ANYTHING because the same arguments about pacing, source material faithfulness, and final episodes have been going on since the mid-2000s. Look at how everyone still brings up the same complaints about shows like Evangelion or Code Geass endings that are over a decade old. The conversation is just LOUDER now because more people are online, not because the actual opinions shifted.

Jesse's got a point. Back when I was active on some old forums, people were already arguing about the same things. It's just the internet got bigger so the noise is louder.
