The week a squirrel stole my lunch and my crew's best climbing rope
We were working a big oak removal in Springfield, and I left my sandwich on the tailgate for two minutes. A gray squirrel grabbed it, then somehow got into the gear bag and dragged our 200 foot static line up the tree. Had to bribe it down with a bag of chips. What's the weirdest thing an animal has messed with on your job site?

Was that really weirder than a squirrel stealing a rope?

You mentioned it took an hour to figure out the chalk was gone. Honestly, that doesn't sound like a huge crisis. It's just some colored powder and a few paw prints. Animals get into things, it's what they do. Calling a raccoon a little bandit makes it seem more dramatic than it is. It's not like it ruined the slab, it just walked on it. Sometimes we make a big deal out of normal, silly animal behavior.

Had a raccoon once that was obsessed with our chalk bags. Little bandit emptied three of them and left blue paw prints all over the fresh concrete slab. Took us an hour to figure out where the chalk was going.
