A question from a kid at the library totally shifted how I answer things
I was helping with a local library event in Boise when a 9-year-old asked me why the sky is blue, and I realized my long science answer was just confusing him. Now I start with 'sunlight gets scattered' and add details only if they ask more. What's your go-to way to handle a question that could have a simple or a complex answer?

Honestly, kids deserve the full truth right away.

The full truth? You told a five year old where meat really comes from?
