Shoutout to my old neighbor for showing me the right way to ask a question online
I used to just type my whole problem into a forum box, like 'my computer is making a noise and won't turn on help please,' and then get mad when no one answered. About a year ago, my neighbor saw me doing this and said, 'Cora, you gotta give them the model number and the exact beep pattern.' So now I always start with the device name, the year I got it, and the specific error code or sound. I actually got my router fixed in 20 minutes last week because I posted 'Linksys EA6350, bought in 2020, solid red light on port 2.' Has anyone else found that being super specific like that gets you real answers faster?
