Last Tuesday was the worst day I've had in court in 5 years

I had a hearing scheduled at 9 AM downtown, but the elevator in the courthouse broke down and I had to haul three boxes of evidence up 8 flights of stairs. Then the judge started grilling me about a filing error I made in the original complaint back in March. By noon, opposing counsel dropped a surprise motion that completely threw off my timeline. Has anyone else had a single day where absolutely everything went sideways with no warning?

Eight flights of stairs with three boxes of evidence? That alone would have me questioning my life choices for the rest of the day. I cannot imagine the judge piling on about a filing error on top of that physical exhaustion. Surprise motions from opposing counsel are the cherry on top of a truly miserable sundae.

Man I feel you. What finally worked for me was showing up early with a fucking cart next time. Saved my back and honestly my sanity when the judge decided to lecture me for 10 minutes straight about page numbers.
