Noticed a huge shift in how my lawyer friend drafts contracts after switching firms

My buddy works at a small firm in Austin and used to send these dense, 10 page agreements full of legal jargon. About 6 months ago he moved to a bigger shop and now his drafts are way shorter and plainer, like 4 pages max. He said they use plain language templates because clients kept getting lost in the legalese. Has anyone else seen a before and after like this when a lawyer changes firms or practice areas?

That tracks perfectly. My sister's lawyer went through the same thing when she joined a bigger firm, her contracts got way easier to read and honestly a lot less stressful for everyone involved.
