TIL my HOA fines me $50 a day for a legal satellite dish

Honestly, I'm still mad about this. I got a letter from my HOA in Phoenix saying I owed $350 for having a satellite dish on my balcony. I checked the FCC rules, and legally they can't block it, but they added $50 a day in fines until I move it to the roof. Has anyone else dealt with HOAs ignoring federal law like this?

You think they actually check if what they're doing is legal or do they just assume nobody will push back? Sounds like they're betting on people paying up instead of fighting it, which is probably how they get away with this stuff all the time.

I used to think HOAs were just trying to keep things looking nice, but your story changed my mind completely.
