Unpopular opinion: Death Note's second half is better than the first

What do you think makes Near and Mello feel different from L? I remember my buddy and I argued about this for weeks until we both agreed the second half feels like a completely different show. One time I tried to marathon it in one sitting and fell asleep halfway through the soccer match, woke up confused about who was even alive anymore.

I think "AI assisted" digital art needs its own category in showcases

Does it bother you that they're grouped together, or is it more about the way people talk about the process? For me, when I was in a similar spot at a craft fair, I had to start asking the artists directly how they made their work before I judged the skills involved. It was a small change, but it made me realize the context really matters, and maybe a separate label would help the audience understand those different levels of effort.

PSA: My 'office' used to be a dedicated room, now it's wherever I can find a stable surface and a power outlet.

Old fries smell" sounds more like a confession than an emergency. I've worked enough overnights to know people love calling things emergencies when they really just mean inconvenient. Checking an email? That's a Tuesday afternoon problem, not an emergency office situation. Unless your car is literally on fire and you're using it to shelter from a hurricane, I don't see how a smelly car qualifies as a serious workspace.

Blew $150 on a sample pack that was just recycled loops from other packs

I read someone saying most sample packs are just flipped free packs now.

Remember when you actually had to know the boot order to fix a PC?

F12 at the Dell logo is basically a secret handshake at this point, but try telling that to someone who's never had to set a SATA mode to IDE just to get XP to install. I bet that guy would have a meltdown if he saw the jumper settings on a old PATA drive with all those little plastic caps that disappear into the carpet forever. My favorite is when people call me frantic because their PC won't turn on but they just forgot to flip the switch on the back of the power supply. Makes me wonder if they think the computer runs on good intentions and fairy dust these days. Man, kids today don't know the struggle of having four drives on one cable and praying the master/slave jumpers are set right.
