Dropped $650 on a used 8 inch Dobsonian, and the first clear night made me forget every blurry photo I ever took
Spent a whole shift's pay on a used Dobsonian off a guy in Reno, mostly because my old camera lens made Saturn look like a smudge. First clear night I hauled it out back and saw the Cassini division with my own eyes, no stacking or editing needed. Now I want to know, does a cheap 2x barlow actually help on planets or should I just save up for a better eyepiece?
