Just realized my old telescope mount was the problem all along
Spent 6 months blaming light pollution for blurry photos until I borrowed a buddy's mount last week and got crystal clear shots of Orion, has anyone else wasted that long chasing the wrong fix?

Lol yeah I swapped my tripod once and it fixed everything overnight.

Gotta say, I see it a little different. Bad mounts can ruin everything, sure, but light pollution is still a huge factor even with a perfect setup. My buddy's got a great mount and still can't get clean shots of anything low on the horizon where I live because the city glow washes everything out. Orion's up high right now so that helps, but try imaging something near the horizon with a stock mount and see how much of a difference the sky makes.
