That nebula photo from last week vs the one I took tonight, what a difference

Same target, same telescope, but 7 nights apart made it look totally different, mostly because the moon finally got out of the way and the seeing was way steadier. Anyone else notice how much their deep sky shots change just by waiting a week for better conditions?

Last month I spent three straight nights on the Veil Nebula and the third night looked like a completely different object, just because a thin band of clouds rolled in around midnight and acted like a natural filter. I remember sitting there at 2am with my coffee going cold, watching the stars twinkle like crazy through the haze, and thinking my scope had somehow lost collimation. Then the clouds passed and suddenly the detail snapped back so sharp I could see the little wispy strands I'd never noticed before. It's funny how we obsess over equipment and targets when sometimes the weather just decides to give you a free upgrade if you wait it out. Week to week is huge, but honestly a single hour can flip everything too, so I just take whatever the sky hands me and call it a win.
