That one Tuesday last month where everything went right for once

I had a perfect day three weeks ago where my bus arrived on time, my lunch spot had my favorite booth empty, and nobody at work asked me to explain a joke. Has anyone else had a day where the universe just lined up with your routine?

Honestly, is it really a perfect day if nothing unexpected or interesting happens too? I feel like those totally smooth days can be kinda boring in hindsight, you know?

Oh man, I actually JUST read this article about how our brains remember "average" days way less than ones with a curveball. It said we tend to romanticize the unexpected stuff after the fact, even if it was a pain in the moment. So maybe a perfectly boring day IS perfect, just not one we'll remember much of later.
