Vent: Wasted $250 on a 'sensory-friendly' weighted blanket that barely counts as a blanket

The thing is maybe 3 pounds and the fabric feels like sandpaper against my skin, so now I'm stuck using my old lumpy comforter again - has anyone else fallen for those overpriced autism products on Amazon?

Man that SUCKS. Honestly I wonder if some of these companies just slap "sensory friendly" on anything with a beige color and call it a day, no actual testing done. You might have better luck hitting up a fabric store and finding something with a texture you actually like, then sewing it into a simple cotton duvet cover for your old comforter.

Beige color and call it a day" reminds me of the time I bought a "sensory friendly" shirt that felt like sandpaper.
