Spent $1,100 on a cheap lift kit for my Tacoma and I'd do it again, fight me
Honestly everyone on here screams that cheap lift kits ruin your truck but I ran a $1,100 spacer kit on my 2016 Tacoma for 60k miles and it drove fine. I took it through Moab twice and the worst thing that happened was a slightly rougher ride on washboard roads. Ngl the guys dropping $4k on full coilovers act like anything less is a death trap, but most of us aren't rock crawling every weekend. My ball joints and CVs held up fine because I actually got an alignment after. Anyone else running a budget lift long term and not regretting it?
Notice how this same thing happens with everything, not just trucks. People buy a $2k mountain bike and suddenly a $600 hardtail is "dangerous." Guys get a fancy espresso machine and act like a $100 one makes poison. I see it with tools too, dude at work swears you need $400 in snap-on or your bolts will strip. Meanwhile half the country is out here getting stuff done with Harbor Freight and a $40 impact. Most hobbies have a rich guy tax where the top spenders convince everyone the cheap option is trash so they feel better about their own receipt. You did the one thing that actually matters, got it aligned, and your truck's still rolling at 60k.
