Picked a cordless ratchet over a full impact for my first big tool buy

Been saving up for months and finally had enough to get one solid power tool. I was stuck between a cordless ratchet and a 1/2" impact wrench for doing brake jobs and suspension work on my own truck. Went with the ratchet because I mostly do smaller bolts and tight spots under the dash. Used it yesterday to swap out a starter on a 2002 F-150 and it saved me a good 45 minutes of fighting with hand tools. Anyone else feel like a ratchet is worth more than the raw power for weekend work?

Wondering if you're really gonna feel that way when you gotta pop a stuck suspension bolt loose... just sayin.

Whoa hold up, wait. What do you mean "stuck suspension bolt"? Like a bolt that's rusted on there good? Are you telling me those fancy new impact guns or breaker bars just bounce off or something? I thought with the right tool you could get anything loose, but I'm guessing it's not always that simple. That sounds like a nightmare, honestly. I've only ever dealt with basic stuff on my car, nothing that serious. You're making me rethink not just taking it to a shop for the big jobs.
