Back when an AV-8B PACS was all paper manuals and 2AM guesswork

I dug out my old NAS Lemoore notes from 1994 and compared them to the tablet setup we had at Pendleton last week, and honestly the biggest shift I've seen is how we chase intermittent faults, we used to spend a whole shift swapping relay cards on a hunch, now the BITE tells us the exact pin to check, but has anyone else noticed the newer guys freeze up when the system gives them nothing?

Man, you just hit the nail on the head. We had a Hornet come in last month with a flaky fuel sensor, and the BITE gave us nothing but a clean bill of health, so we spent two days chasing our tails until someone finally wiggled the harness and found a corroded pin. The old-school guys know to just start yanking wires and checking grounds, but the new techs sit there staring at the screen like it's gonna magically update with the answer. It's a weird trade-off, quicker fixes when it works, but way less gut instinct when the computers go quiet.
