Can we talk about how long it took to nail down our ideal customer profile?

Everyone said it would take a month, but we spent 6 months and over 50 customer calls before we got it right. Anyone else find that the 'simple' stuff takes way longer than the experts claim?

Honestly, the "simple stuff" line hits hard. Tbh I think a lot of those expert timelines assume you already have a clear market. If you're doing something even a little new, you're basically guessing until you hear the same pain point from enough strangers. We had to throw out our first three profiles because we were just describing ourselves.
