He said, 'Your map is a year old, but the trail is new every day.' I was asking about a washed-out bridge on the Old Bridle Path, and he pointed to a fresh reroute not on my print. How do you all keep up with trail changes in real time?

That line about the trail being new every day is so true! It's the biggest challenge with paper maps. I've started checking the forest service website for that specific area the night before a hike. They post small reroute notices that never make it to the big map companies. Do you find the official sites are updated fast enough, or is there still a big gap?
