Got roasted on the PCT Facebook group for my pack weight
Someone told me I was carrying 'two of everything' after I posted my gear list, so I cut my backup layers and ditched the camp shoes. Has anyone else gotten humbling advice that actually made your hike easier?

That whole 'cut the camp shoes' advice really hits home. It's funny how we drag around extra stuff in life too, thinking we need backups for backups, when most of the time just one solid option does the trick.
