Just hiked the JMT in 2021 and again this summer. The difference in trail conditions is scary.

Sawers Creek crossing went from knee-high to waist-deep in just two years. Snowpack melt timing is shifting a full week earlier now. Anyone else noticing creek crossings getting sketchier?

Those creek crossings are getting gnarly for sure. Water levels are totally out of whack compared to just a few years back.

Yeah I'm not so sure it's that serious. People say creeks are sketchier every year but it's just weather patterns being weird. @jackson.jenny what data are you basing that on?
