My old water filter finally gave up on me after 8 years on the trail

The ceramic cartridge cracked last weekend near the Maroon Bells, so I had to boil everything for two days. What's a reliable filter you've switched to after a major failure?

Switched to a Sawyer Squeeze after my old one cracked too.

My buddy's filter failed on the Lost Coast trail and he just used iodine tablets for a week. He still complains about the taste.
