Finally got 100 likes on a photo of my croissant cross-section

I was just snapping a pic of my morning bake for the fun of it and somehow it blew up on the baking subreddit, which felt huge because I've been working on that lamination for six months straight.

omg the lamination struggle is REAL. i literally spent a whole year trying to get my butter layers right and my first successful croissant cross section had me crying in the kitchen lol. same thing happened to me with a pic of my chocolate babka swirl where i got like 200 upvotes out of nowhere and i was just like "wait people actually care about my pastry obsession??" it's such a weird feeling when you think you're just sharing a baking victory and suddenly it's internet famous for a day. but seriously that six month grind paid off big time, good for you :)

Wait do you still get nervous working with laminated dough or is it just muscle memory now? I've only tried croissants like three times and each time my butter broke through and I just sat there staring at greasy puddles on the baking sheet. It's wild how a random baking post can just blow up like that, makes you wonder what the algorithm even wants from us. Six months of dedication is no joke though, that's serious patience right there.
