The time my sister told me to chill with the stand mixer
I always cranked my KitchenAid to high speed for cookie dough because I thought faster was better. She came over last Christmas and said I was overworking the gluten and that's why my chocolate chip cookies came out tough. I dropped to medium low and now they come out soft every time. Has anyone else had a family member call them out on a bad habit you thought was right?

It's funny you ask because it got me thinking about how people will nitpick tiny things when they're really upset about something bigger. Like when my mom used to pick on my room being messy when she was stressed about work, you know? It's just easier to focus on someone else's minor stuff than deal with your own mess.
