TIL my credit union's phone app beats the big bank app for depositing checks
I deposited a $950 check from my side gig last Tuesday using my credit union's app, and the money showed up in my account in about 3 hours. My old bank held the same kind of check for 2 full business days every single time, no matter how long I had been a customer there. The credit union app also lets me snap the photo in better light, which sounds small but it saved me from driving to a branch in Fort Wayne twice. Curious if anyone else has seen a smaller bank or credit union beat the big guys on deposit speed, or did I just get lucky with this one?

Man, same here. My credit union clears mobile checks same day and my old big bank sat on them for three days. The photo thing is real too, way less blurry shots.
