Chose to read the news from a site blocked in Turkey, and now I get why it's blocked
Last month I was in Istanbul for work and a local friend showed me a site that's banned there, so I had to pick between using my VPN or just skipping the news for a week. I used the VPN, read three articles, and honestly half of it was stuff nobody in the US would even blink at. Anyone else notice banned sites are often way more boring than you'd expect?

Man, my buddy had the exact same thing in Dubai. He fired up his VPN all excited to see what the big secret was and it was just boring bank rules and weather reports. He was so let down he went back to scrolling cat videos.
