Just realized 47 countries still have blasphemy laws on the books after reading about that artist in Pakistan

How are we supposed to have real free speech when nearly a quarter of the nations in the UN can throw you in prison for criticizing a religion, does anyone else feel like the internet makes us forget these boundaries exist?

47 countries is wild, but in my experience I can't even make a joke about pineapple on pizza without someone taking it personally. Take that with a grain of salt though, I'm probably just grumpy because I haven't had my coffee yet.
