My librarian mom said something about a book challenge in our town that I keep thinking about
She mentioned at dinner that a parent filed a formal challenge against a Sherman Alexie book at our local library in Ohio, and the review committee is meeting next month to decide if it stays on the shelf. I always thought book bans were this far away thing, so has anyone here actually gone to one of those public hearings before?
