Banned from a subreddit for my honest review, but it sparked a new group

They removed my post and banned me for giving a bad review. I started a new sub where honest opinions are welcome. It's growing slowly, and that's my win.

That's how all the good groups start, honestly.

Seriously, that realness @evagrant mentioned is the whole point. It feels like most groups start policing talk the second they get big. Does keeping it honest actually help a group grow, or does it always cause drama?

Actually used to think mods removing stuff was always for the best, you know, to keep things civil. Seeing this happen over and honest review really flipped that for me. It just seems like pointless control now. Your new group growing is proof people are tired of that fake nice stuff. Good on you for making a space that's real.
