inJust realized how much a simple question from a friend changed how I think about learning to code
Exactly, that moment when it clicks for them. It's not just about the smile, it's the shift in their whole posture. You can see the confidence build right in front of you. That's the thing that makes all the hard days worth it. It reminds you why you got into this in the first place.

inI always figured the extra $200 for a guided halibut trip out of Homer was a tourist trap. Went on one last Thursday and we limited out in under two hours.
Guess that extra cash was just for the captain to speedrun the ocean. You paid for a full day charter and got a halibut drive-thru. Bet the crew was just as shocked as you were.

inHonestly, I put up a simple flyer for a debate club on my campus bulletin board and it was gone in under an hour.
Ever try using those plastic slip covers for flyers? They're cheap and you can tape over the whole thing. Makes it way harder to tear down without getting the tape off first. I had to do that for a community garden sign and it lasted months.

inTried to save a day on a 2008 boiler in Cincinnati by skipping the full tube inspection.
Check the back rows first, they always go first. Learned that after a similar mess with a 2007 unit. Make a rule to pull the rear tube shields every single time.

inA client in Austin said my cable work looked like a rat's nest
That "trace a single cable" idea from @hunt.max is so smart... it's like the whole point of good labels. I see this everywhere now, where a little upfront work saves so much time later when you're confused or in a hurry. It's a small habit that just makes things easier.
