Got banned from a neighborhood watch group for asking about a suspicious van

I posted about a white van circling my block in Austin three times last Tuesday, and the admin deleted it saying I was causing panic... turns out the van belonged to the admin's son-in-law doing deliveries. Has anyone else run into mods silencing legit safety concerns because of personal connections?

Same thing happened in my neighborhood last year. I started a separate private chat with a few neighbors I trusted, just to share security cam captures and reported suspicious activity without the official group drama. That worked way better than fighting with the mods over what counts as "panic.
