Got booted from a local Facebook group for calling out a bad contractor
Three months ago, I posted in the 'Neighbors Helping Neighbors' group about a guy who did a terrible roof patch job on my sister's house in Springfield. I named the company and showed pictures of the shoddy work. The admin, who I later found out is friends with the contractor, deleted my post and banned me within an hour, saying I was 'spreading negativity.' I just wanted to warn people before they got ripped off. Has anyone else been silenced for trying to give a real warning in a group that's supposed to be for help?

Your mention of "spreading negativity" is just a cover for protecting friends, which defeats the whole point of those groups.
