Got banned from a local hiking forum for pointing out trail damage

I visited Red River Gorge last weekend and noticed people carving their names into a sandstone cliff. When I posted about it in the Kentucky Hikers group, an admin deleted my post and blocked me within 10 minutes. Has anyone else run into groups that don't want you talking about preserving nature?

That admin sounds like they're more worried about drama than actual trail preservation. Did they give any reason for the ban or just hit you with the silence hammer?

Doesn't it feel like that's just how things are going these days? Everyone's so quick to pull the trigger on stuff like that, whether it's online groups or even just dealing with people in person.
