Hit submit on a post about local zoning and got a permanent ban from Nextdoor within 4 minutes
I asked why our town let a developer bulldoze 6 acres of wetland for another storage unit place and the mod said I was spreading misinformation even though I linked the county report. Has anyone else had a simple question get nuked like that?

Man did they at least tell you what the "misinformation" was supposed to be?

Bro honestly they just hit me with a generic "violation of community guidelines" and dipped. No explanation, no nothing. I'm still sitting here wondering if I said vaccines cause insert wild theory here or if I accidentally called someone's pet ugly. At this point I'm convinced my "misinformation" was probably just me misspelling something like "definitely" and the algorithm got confused. Maybe they thought I was spreading fake news about how to properly fold a fitted sheet. Hard to know when they treat you like a bot and ghost you immediately.

OH MY GOD that is INFURIATING. I had the EXACT same thing happen when I posted about our HOA illegally voting to raise dues without a quorum. I got banned for "harassment" in 3 minutes flat. What finally worked for me was emailing their actual support team outside the app - not the appeal form. I wrote a calm note with the county document attached and asked them to point out exactly where I was wrong. They reinstated me in 2 days and the mod got a warning for overreacting. You have to go over their heads because those neighborhood mods are on a total power trip.
