Ran a banned meme poll on my local FB page and got a 2am voicemail

I run a small town meme page outside Richmond and last week I posted a poll asking which banned meme people miss most, the Zyzz one or the Pepe variants. At 2am a guy from the county supervisor's office called me, not mad exactly, just asking where I got the list. He said they track 'disinformation patterns' locally now and my poll could look like organizing. I told him it was 47 people voting for laughs but he kept pushing about the source. Has anyone else had officials reach out over meme content that seemed harmless?

Where I got the list" huh? That part got me. Last fall I posted a picture of a raccoon in a tiny cowboy hat on my neighborhood page and three days later some guy from the water board showed up at my door asking about my 'content pipeline'. I thought he was joking until he started naming the exact meme pages I followed. Told him I got it off a calendar my sister bought at a gas station. He wrote that down in a little notebook like I just confessed to something. Still have no idea what that was about, but now I only post pictures of my tomato plants and even those make me nervous.
