Hit 100 posts on a campus free speech blog and got a threatening email from admin
I started a blog last fall covering cases where student speakers got shut down at our university. Hit 100 posts this week documenting things like canceled talks and flyer removals. The surprising part was getting a formal email from the dean's office warning me about "disruptive content." Never expected to get that kind of attention for just reporting what happens. Has anyone else had their school push back on free speech reporting like this?

The dean's office email sounds like they are trying to intimidate you into stopping. Reminds me of when my neighbor got a letter from the HOA about his yard sign for a city council candidate he supported. They claimed it violated some obscure rule about sign sizes, but really they just didn't like the message. Nobody ever complained about all the other signs on that street. Funny how that works, right? Probably a good sign you are hitting a nerve with your blog. Keep doing what you are doing.

@nancy_davis makes a good point about how selective enforcement works. It is always about the message, not the rules. They only dig up the regulations when something makes them uncomfortable.

Dean's office hitting 100 posts before you did, that's some impressive selective reading speed on their end. Guess they needed a new hobby to replace going after the campus newspaper.
