I gave it after a professor at my school got in trouble just for showing a documentary with different political views. That small amount helped them print flyers and organize a real discussion that the administration tried to stop. Has anyone else seen a group actually make a difference with very little funding?

That's the key, small donations to focused groups get spent on real action. Find the people doing the actual work and chip in.
