Update: Saw a flyer for a campus debate on the Israel-Palestine conflict get taken down by a student group at UC Berkeley yesterday.
They said it was 'too divisive' for the quad, which seems like the exact opposite of what a university should be doing.

Wait, they took down a debate flyer for being too divisive? At Berkeley, the place famous for free speech protests?

Yeah, that's the point though. A debate is supposed to be about divisive topics. If we only talk about stuff everyone agrees on, what's the point of a university? Wesley139 has a point about Berkeley's history, which makes this move even more confusing. It feels like some groups just want a one-way street for their own message.
