Found out my barber chair is older than me by 15 years

I was cleaning down my station last week and noticed a serial number on the base of my old Belmont chair, so I looked it up out of curiosity. Turns out it was made in 1987, which means this thing has been spinning for almost 40 years longer than I've been alive. Has anyone else found out some crazy age on a piece of gear you use every day?

Man that makes me feel better. My chair's probably got 15 years on me too but I never bothered to look it up. Kind of like finding out the house you grew up in was built by someone who definitely cut corners. I guess the upside is these old Belmonts are basically indestructible compared to the new stuff falling apart after two years. Just don't let your clients know you're spinning them on a chair old enough to be their dad.

Yeah @harperwright I covered mine with a clean pillowcase and nobody ever knew the difference.
