I thought those cheap plastic neck strips were a waste of money

My old shop in Spokane always used the cloth ones, so I stuck with them for years. I switched to a new place that only had the plastic kind, and I was ready to complain. After a week, I noticed my clippers were way cleaner at the end of the day, and I wasn't washing neck strips every night. It's a small thing, but it saves me about 30 minutes of cleanup. Anyone else have a small switch that ended up being a big help?

But have you ever thought about the extra trash they create? I just see a pile of plastic going to the landfill every day now. That 30 minutes you save has to go somewhere, right? For me, washing a few cloth strips feels like a fair trade to cut down on all that waste.

That pile of plastic is just the visible cost. The real waste is in the oil drilled, shipped, and turned into a single-use strip. Saving a bit of time now seems to ignore the bigger mess we're leaving for later.
